Reed Krakoff has scaled down from a townhouse to a penthouse. The former creative director of Tiffany, who left the jewelry company last year after its acquisition by French conglomerate LVMH, has purchased a 2,600-square-foot aerie at 1115 Fifth Ave. The sale price on the unit, which Krakoff bought with his wife, interior designer Delphine, was about $6 million, according to tax records that appeared online Friday. But Krakoff, who made his name in fashion as the creative director of Coach—and has made tens of millions of dollars flipping high-end New York real estate—apparently did not have to sell in order to buy. His former townhouse at 54 E. 64th St., off Park Avenue, remains on the market a year after being listed. Its asking price is now $42 million, down from $48 million last September.
